After decades of witnessing the connection that humans have with horses, I have started including my beautiful four-legged partners as co-facilitators in teaching leadership skills. Cave paintings in Lascaux, France, which show hundreds of images animals, are dominated by horses. These paintings are up to 17,000 years old, demonstrating an innate human fascination with horses even before domestication occurred approximately 6,000 years ago.
In our modern culture, we are surrounded by technology every day. We have our phones, our computers, social media, and AI. How many of us, however, truly get a chance to connect with the natural world? As much as technology and innovative amenities have made our lives better, how has this way of life removed us from ancient wisdom? How well are we communicating with each other? How has anxiety and worry become the insulation of our daily existence?
Leadership coaching with horses meets the needs of the moment. Horses are prey animals, which makes them keenly and intuitively aware of their surroundings. They instinctively understand being present within their surroundings. They are also herd animals, which means they have mastered the art of shared leadership. Through joining with my horses, I inspire leaders to perform at their best through clarifying personal alignment, creating energy awareness, and activating engaged listening. Each session provides unique feedback and coaching opportunities.
In my coaching workshops with horses, I blend evidence-based practices with the unique power of equine-assisted learning, sharpening self-awareness and leadership presence. Whether you are a corporate leader, an educator, or a team member, I invite you to become more impactful in your life and work. Contact me for more information about booking a session.
